An oval-shaped melon with a dark green rind with mottled spots (“toad skin”) and white to pale green flesh. Juicy texture and excellent shelf life, great for export (one of the most export-friendly melons).

Piel de Sapo
Mostly sold by type, not by variety name. The traditional Piel de Sapo is characterised by very good flavour and a crispy texture, but is used less in export. Piel de Sapo is the main export type. Long shelf life (2-3+ weeks), strong rind (transport resistant), uniform shape and size and stable brix (10-13° typical).
